Also called 'picture books' these are the stories most parents are familiar with when it comes to story time with children. The cover of these books are a hard durable surface(not paperback) and the paper pages inside are filled with bright illustrations and stories. Small hardcovers are smaller, and can often be used with children learning to read. Sometimes these books will be leveled as well,

My granddaughter was visiting when my shipment arrived. She was elated to see all the new books. We received three Cinderellas, so that was a bummer. Then, counting as books, were these little five inch by five inch leaflets with literally six words total. They were beginner phonics books. Since I selected small kid hardcover books, this was disappointing.

Avoid nondescript large bundles
I ordered 3 different bundles for my free library, totaling $80– thin paperbacks, hardbacks, and Dr Seuss—all from Book Bundler. I kept about 2/3 and tossed 18– mostly due to poor content quality and sometimes the physical quality. Too many had silly themes with poor artwork. I’m surprised how dumb some children’s books can be. I learned not to buy nondescript bundles. Better to buy known content—proven winners—Dr Seuss, Bernstein Bears, etc

We get asked a lot, 'where do you get your books from?'
We have worked out exclusive partnerships with other booksellers & paper recyclers in the U.S.A.
Most people do not realize that all other booksellers destroy far more books then they can sell by selling them to recyclers or pulpers. (we won't name names 😉)
We are the last chance stop for these books, through our partnerships, we sift and sort through these books and pull out any and all of the books in good condition(you'd be surprised what people throw away).
They might be used books, but we sort for quality and look for books that are in great shape despite being previously loved.

We were disappointed with our bundle. We had one duplicate, which was fine, but we had one book with loose unattached pages and a few books that were very old, unexciting for a little kid. Then you had a handful with big store discount stickers right in the center of the cover. Basically just felt like we ended up with the books that no one wanted from the thrift store. At least a few were fine, but not likely to buy again. The worst part for me was the discounted price stickers.
My 5-year-old daughter was very excited about the Scholastic book bundle. "I love these books so much! Thank you for buying them! You're the best mom in the whole world!"
