Unlike traditional picture books or storybooks, these books are only a few pages long, with about 1–3 simple sentences per page, making them easy for new readers to practice their independent reading skills. They are small in size as shown in the photos, around 4"-5" inches in height or width.

Many of the books focus on phonics, pronunciation, word sounds, simple vocabulary, and basic sentences. They are designed to help children practice the foundational reading skills they need as they move beyond learning their ABCs and begin putting sounds and words together.

These are not full-length storybooks. Instead, they are short, simple practice books that give beginning readers an opportunity to build confidence and strengthen their early reading skills.
